Privacy settings, also known as Private Registration or WHOIS Privacy, hide the contact information associated with your domain name. Some privacy services offer a fake email address that filters out spam and forwards messages to your valid email address.
In either case, there is a risk that you may not receive the transfer authorization email. If you do not respond to the transfer authorization email, then the transfer will automatically move forward after five (5) days.
Resending the Transfer Authorization Email
To resolve this, you must temporarily turn off any privacy features. Then log in to your account at the current provider or contact them for assistance. This change may take up to an hour to take effect.
