Follow these instructions to leave a copy of your mail on the server using these Mac email programs:

Mac Mail for OSX® 10.3 Panther and Mac Mail OSX 10.4 Tiger

  1. 1. On the Mail tab, click the Preferences option.
  2. 2. Click the account you want to edit.
  3. 3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. 4. Find and update the Remove copy from server after retrieving a message option.
  5. From here you can also select if you would like to remove mail from the server after a set amount of days. Or remove mail from the server when deleted from the Deleted Items folder in Outlook.
  6. Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.

Mac Mail for OSX® 10.5 Leopard

  1. 1. On the Mail tab, select the Preferences option.
  2. 2. Click the account you want to edit.
  3. 3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. 4. Find and update the Remove copy from server after retrieving a message option.
  5. From here you can also select if you would like to remove mail from the server after a set amount of days. Or remove mail from the server when deleted from the Deleted Items folder in Outlook.
  6. Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.

Microsoft Outlook® 2011 for Mac

  1. 1. On the Tools menu, click the Accounts option.
  2. 2. Click the account you want to edit.
  3. 3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. From here you can also select if you would like to remove mail from the server after a set amount of days. Or remove mail from the server when deleted from the Deleted Items folder in Outlook.
  5. Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.

Entourage®

  1. 1. On the Tools menu, click the Accounts option.
  2. 2. On the Mail tab, select the account you wish to edit by double-clicking the account, then select Edit.
  3. 3. Select the Options tab.
  4. 4. Find and update the Leave a copy of each message on the server option.
  5. Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.
