Follow these instructions to leave a copy of your mail on the server using the different Microsoft and Windows email programs:
Microsoft Outlook®Express
- 1. On the Toolsmenu, click the Accountsoption.
- 2. On the Internet Accountspanel, click the Mailtab.
- 3. Then select the account you wish to edit by double-clicking the account and selecting Propertieson the right.
- 4. On the Advancedtab, check the Leave a copy of the Message on the Serverbox.
- Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.
Microsoft Outlook®2003
- 1. On the Toolsmenu, click the E-mailAccountsoption.
- 2. On the Email Accountspanel, selectthe View or change existing e-mail accountsoption, then click Next.
- 3. Select the account you wish to edit by double-clicking the account and selecting Change.
- 4. On the Internet E-mail Settingspage, click More Settings.
- 5. On the More Settingspage, click the Advancedtab.
- 6. On the Advancedtab, check the Leave a copy of the Message on the Serverbox.
- Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.
Microsoft Outlook®2007
- 1. On the Toolsmenu, click the Account Settingsoption.
- 2. On the E-mail accountspanel, click the E-mailtab.
- 3. Select the account you wish to edit by double-clicking the accountand selecting Change.
- 4. On the Internet E-mail Settingspage, click More Settings.
- 5. On the Advancedtab, check the Leave a copy of the Message on the Serverbox.
- From here you can also select if you would like to remove mail from the server after a set amount of days.Or you can remove mail from the server when deleted from the Deleted Itemsfolder in Outlook.
- Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.
Microsoft Outlook®2010
- 1. On the Filemenu, click the Account Settingsoption.
- 2.Select the account you wish to edit by double-clicking the accountand selecting Change.
- 3.On the Internet E-mail Settingspage, click More Settings.
- 4. On the Advancedtab, check the Leave a copy of the Message on the Serverbox.
- Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.
Windows®Live Mail
- 1. On the Toolsmenu, click the Accountsoption.
- 2. On the Internet Accountspanel, click the Mailtab.
- 3. Then select the account you wish to edit by double-clicking the account and selecting Propertieson the right.
- 4. On the Advancedtab, check the Leave a copy of the Message on the Serverbox.
- Your mail now leaves a copy of the message on the server.
