Note: This article was created using an iPad Mini running iOS9.1. The steps should be the same for all devices running the same version of iOS and should be accurate even for most other versions of iOS.

Follow the steps below to set up your iOS device:

  1. 1. Tap the Settings icon.
  2. 2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. 3. Tap Other.
  4. 4. Tap Add Mail Account.
  5. 5. Reference the table below to enter your Name, Email, Password, and Description, then tap Next.
  6. FieldRequired Information
    NameEnter the name that you would like to have displayed when the recipient receives an email from you.
    EmailEnter the full email address of the email box that you are currently setting up.
    Example: help@webmailhelp.com
    PasswordEnter the password of the email address that you set when you created the mailbox in your Account Manager.
    DescriptionEnter the name of the account. This information is used to reference the account within the Mail application and device.
  7. 6. Select your Account type of either IMAP or POP, then reference the settings table below to enter the rest of the settings.
  8. Tap Next to continue when you are finished.
  9. Settings

    Required Information

    Name

    Enter the name you to display in the From field when a recipient receives your email

    Email

    The full email address that you are setting up.
    Example: help@webemailhelp.com

    Description

    Enter the name of the account. This information is used to reference the account within the Mail Application and device.

    Incoming Mail Server

    Host Name

    mail.<yourdomainname.com>
    Example: mail.webemailhelp.com

    User Name

    The full email address of the email box that you are currently setting up.

    Password

    Enter the password that you set when you created the mailbox in your account manager.

    Outgoing Mail Server

    Host Name

    smtp.<yourdomainname.com>
    Example: smtp.webemailhelp.com

    For Register.com customers:
    mail.<yourdomainname.com> 
    Example: mail.webemailhelp.com

    User Name

    The full email address of the email box that you are currently setting up.

    Password

    Enter the password that you set when you created the mailbox in your account manager.

  10. 7. If a popup window appears with the Cannot Verify Server Identity message for the incoming mail server, tap Continue to resolve the error.
  11. 8. If a popup window appears with the Cannot Verify Server Identity message for the outgoing mail server, tap Continue to resolve the error.
  12. 9. Verify that Mail is toggled to on (green), then tap Save.
  13. Your email account has been added. Tap the Mail app icon to start using your email on your iPhone or iPad device.
